Used in CM 3-29-8. Members of the Mennonite Holiday Tour Group in Altona, Manitoba on the 1955 tour. See CM for the names of the women (mostly younger women). In the top right corner is Rev. Arnold J. Regier, an instructor at Rosthern Junior College & director of the tour. Neg for photo. The 1950s summer dress of the women is of note. See related photo in 2010-14.607.

Negatives only, 6. Various groups of 3 to 6 young people who were part of the group preparing a mailng of peace literature to CMC young people in Canada, sponsored by the B. of Christian Service. None are identified by name. They were from the Altona Mennonite Youth Fellowship & Elim Bible School. In one neg. three young men (heads down) read some of the literature.

Negatives only (2 the same). Used in CM 3-18-1. Group photo of the young people from different Mennonite churches & 5 Canadian provinces at the MCC VS workshop held in Altona, Man. At far right are: H. Taves & Rev. David Schroeder.

Written on the back: "Mr. & Mrs. Henry H. Toews, Manitou, Man." Henry was from Homewood, Manitoba and Margaret from the Altona area. The couple were married the year after this photograph was taken. They were teachers at Manitou, Manitoba following their marriage, and later resided in Killarney.

A CM photo used in CM 7-26-6 & in the Country Page (Mon.). Art Dyck puts a head bandage on Menno Braun during MDS sponsored first aid course held in Altona. Second photo (11.5x12) shows 3 men learning to bandage an arm.
