Peters, David, 1959-

Transkei

This is a photo of a man pointing at a corrugated iron shack. There are some children sitting in the shade of a low wall by a mud house. Residents in this village have resisted being "removed" far from their homes. The corrugated shacks were set up by people forced to leave their villages and were invited by residents of this village to set up homes here rather than go to the assigned resettlement area.
