Log building and hay piles

This is a photo of a neat log building with a single door opening on the gable end. The gable has vertical boards. Two large piles of hay are stacked behind three men, in suits and hats, conversing over a rail fence. There is a field in the foreground and trees in the background.

Hunter with three dead bears

This is a photo of a hunter, holding a rifle, with his trophy of a mother bear and her two cubs on the ground in front of him. There is a dog sitting on a chair beside the hunter. This dog had been blinded in a previous encounter with bears, but was still able to assist in subsequent kills. There is a log building on the left with split-log roofing and a shed with wood shake or large shingle roof on the right.

Suderman farm ?

This is a photo of what may have been the Suderman farm. It is a good general view of the foregrounds, with several residential and other log buildings. There are two tents on the left, with two automobiles in front of them. A large area in the foreground has been cleared of trees.

Sudermann, Jacob E., 1895-1945

Log house under construction

This is a photo of a two-story log house under construction. The four men on the second level could be (left to right): John Suderman, Johann Suderman, Jake Suderman and Abe Suderman. In the foreground is a neat picket fence and behind the house under construction are two completed houses.

Sudermann, Jacob E., 1895-1945

Four men in a garden

This is a photo of four young men, wearing suits and hats, standing in a garden. There are several log buildings in the background, with trees behind them, and a lagoon on the right.

Sudermann, Jacob E., 1895-1945

Buggies, wagons and tent in a cleared area

This is a photo of a cleared area alongside the Nechako River. A work group appears to be discussing the next moves in front of a large white tent, with two buggies and two wagons in front and more behind. There is part of a log building on the left and another in in the upper right, as well as crude zig-zagging log fencing, perhaps a corral.

Sudermann, Jacob E., 1895-1945

Log home in Vanderhoof

This is a photo of one of the nicer log homes at the south-east corner of Vanderhoof (still in existence in 1992), near the totem pole seen in # 725-001. There is another log building on the left and higher ground behind the home.
