2 Percheron Horses and an Everitt-Metzgar-Flanders roadster

An unidentified farmhand is holding 2 harnessed Percheron horses, ready for field work. On the left is an Everitt-Metzgar-Flanders Roadster made by Studebaker. It was bought by Cornelius Driedger in 1917. Cornelius was farming on the Johann Driedger farm.

Horse and buggy approaching lumber laid out in snow. Corresponding section of the Brubacher House script reads: "Barn raising was another important part of pioneer life. In a Mennonite Community everyone was sensitive to their neighbours' need and rallied to help him rebuild after a fire and restore the loss. A lot of preparation was done on the site before the day of barn-raising, such as laying the foundation and floor, preparing the hand hewn beams and placing them in order for erection."

This photo is a panorama-style image of threshing "outfit #1" which includes 11 teams of horses with wagons and one steam engine powering a threshing machine. There are 14 men operating the engine and horses. On the right hand side stand five people (4 men and 1 woman). To the right of the woman with his hand on his chest is Peter Berg.
