Threshing Machine

This photo shows a belt-powered McCormick Deering threshing machine on display at the Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach. This photo was part of a trip that Betty Newfeld took, and served as the basis for her collection of stories "Exploring Manitoba Highways and Byways". See volume 5561 file 1.

Russian delegation visit

This is a photo of a Russian delegation that visited the museum in Steinbach accompanied by Cornelius Krahn, Peter J. Dyck (MCC) and Adolfs Klaupiks. This photo also includes Gerhard Lohrenz and Helen Wiebe from Manitoba. They are posing in front of the Bartsch Memorial. The people in this photograph are believe to be (l-r): Cornelius Krahn, Adolfs Klaupiks, Nikolaj Nikolaevich Mel'nikov, Gerhard Lohrenz, Sergej Trofimovich Timchenko, Veniamin Leon'tjevich Fedichkin, Klavdija Vasil'evna Pilipjuk, Peter J. Jacob and Agatha (nee Janzen) are at the left then Heinrich and Katarina (nee Rempel) then l-r: Melinda, Jake with child on shoulder, Doris (Mrs. Henry K.), Connie ,( Mrs Jake K) , Henry Ketler , Helen ,( Mrs. Bill K). and Bill Ketler. . The women are all wearing light coloured or flowered dresses. Jacob Ketler was married to Constance Barkman, Their children were Barbar Lyn b. 1960, Judith Eilleen, 1962, Cynthia Mae b. 1965. Henry Ketler, 1923 married Dodris P. Their children wee James 1952, Joanelle 1953, Margorie 1955, and Patricial 1960. Wilhelm Ketler 1919 , Helena Penner. Their children were Ronald, 1948, Marvin 1951, and Stephan 1966. . Melinda b. 1927 married Paul Hugo Penner. This is Generation 5 of the Heinrich Ketler Ancestry Display.
