This is a portrait of an unknown mother and her two children. The mother is seated and holding her naked younger child. She is wearing a long dark dress. On her left hand is a wedding band and her watch is visible under the cuff of her dress. The other child standing on the chair is a girl. She is wearing a dark dress that reaches above the knees and is tied just below the waist. She is holding a doll that looks to have a porcelain head and a soft body. Mother and daughter have dark hair.
The bottom right corner is imprinted with a name, possibly the photographer.

Both are wearing knee breeches and a sailor top with large collar, white stockings and black shoes. The younger boy is seated on a well-upholstered chair.
