Rempel, president of the local Gideons, presents a handicapped grade 5 girl, Lorraine Bauman, with a gold-covered New Testament at the Rotary Children's Centre on King Street in Kitchener, Ont. The Gideons International was giving these Bible to carefully selected grade 5 students in each of the local branches in honour of their 50th anniversary.

Both men were from Germany and the women beside them are probably their wives. The woman at far right is probably Mrs. Irene Neufeld, who served as a missionary with her husband in Austria.

The work party was sponsored by the Mennonite Youth Fellowship of the First Mennonite and Rockway Mennonite churches.

Two pastors from the Tanganyika, Africa Mennonite Church visiting North America gave messages in local churches, arranged by the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board, during their visit to the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
