Two copies of photo. Used in CM 3-37-7. He is sitting in front of his typewriter reading the CM. Recently he had part'd in the 25th anniversary of the Mennonite Church at Carrot River, Sask. of which he was the founder.

"Virgin forest at Reesor, Ont. and pulp-wood," is written on the back of the photo in German. The logs in the foreground have already been cut into similar lengths & debarked. Three men are in the picture.

Negative also. On the back of the photo is written "P.J. Dyck's homestead at Reesor, Ont. (Stayed for night here.)" indicating that Benjamin Ewert spent the night at the Dyck's home and took these photos (14.473&f.) at that time.

Used in CM 12-17-1 with interview of him about his work in nuclear physics. He was a Ph.D. candidate at the U. of B.C. & had rec'd a Post-Doctoral Overseas Fellowship by the National Research Council. Seen here in his lab.
Used in CM 11-51-1 when he died suddenly. He was 67 years of age; worked as director & secretary-treasurer of C. A. DeFehr & Sons Ltd. He was the son-in-law of Mr. & Mrs. DeFehr.
