No.2 in a 2nd set of numbered photos from the 6th Mennonite World Conference held in 1957 in Karlsruhe, Germany. This photo of Canadian delegates, used in the CM 5-35-7, shows, l-r: Mr. John Hostetler; Mrs. John Hostetler, formerly Katherine Penner of Jordan Station, Ontario; and, MCC workers Peter J. Dyck and J. J. Thiessen.

Peter & Elfrieda (Klassen) Dyck who were about to leave for Europe as the directors of MCC & head the new East-West office. This took place at the CMC conference in Winkler in the Brunk tent.

Negatives only, 2 similar ones. One used in CM 4-32-1. Rev. J. J. Thiessen, moderator of Canadian district, welcomes Samuel Stephen, principal of a Mennonite High school in India & John S. Timber, chairman of the Montana Indian Mennonite Churches, to the 34th meeting of the GCMC in Wpg. In photo used Thiessen shakes hands with Stephen.

Executive & business committee for the Canadian Conference of the GCMC. A committee had been appointed to plan the upcoming triennial conference in Aug.. See article in CM 4-8-1 where 6 committee members are named including G.Groening who is not on the photo & G. Lohrenz who is. Did this committee meet to plan for Aug.? J.J. Thiessen (at far right); 2nd from right is Gerhard Lohrenz.
