Used in the CM 3-29-6. Group photo of members of the first Mennonite Church organized in Jamaica at Constant Springs near Kingston. Eleven converts were baptized and 16 other persons received into the church. This missionary work was begun by Rev. D. H. Loewen and his wife of Altona, Manitoba.

Used in the CM 5-4-3. The first baptism since the General Conference Mennonite missionaries began work among migrants in Eloy, Arizona took place Dec. 2, 1956. The candidates are: Betty Clark, Mary Odom, Bessie Odom, Billy Odom and Rosie Odom. The photo was submitted by Elsie Heppner from Waldheim, Sask. See also 2010-14.399.

Used in CM 11-19-2. Eleven persons were baptized and became members of the Po-Ai Mennonite Church in Hualien on Apr. 14. Evangelist Sai (at far left), pastor of the church, had charge of the service. Baptismal candidates in the Meilun Mennonite Church, Taiwan

Used in the CM 11-27-2. One of the men in back in possibly Evangelist Chhoa, who preached the sermon. The caption in The Canadian Mennonite notes that the young man being baptized is a pharmacist at the Mennonite Christian Hospital; three of the young women are nursing students and one of the girls is a receptionist there.

Used in CM 16-30-20. Baptismal candidates, young people as well as married people, of the Grace Mennonite Church. In the third (back row) are: Leonard Epp, pastor of the church; Paul Peters, deacon; Julius Toews, deacon; G. S. Rempel, former pastor. As in 2010-14.288, the group stands in front of the Emmanuel Mission Church building. A report of this event was in the July 2 issue, CM 16-27-6.
