Names of the children listed as [Gardona Zange] 14 months, [Yajica Peeotie] 21 months, [Pero Mikolac] 14 months. Reimer writes "these children looked like plucked sparrows when I saw them last December."
This photo shows Monkman and a group of "Winklerites" - construction men - looking on Mennonite Pioneer Mission children's camp at Loon Straits. "On the right is Margaret Harder (right) and Marian Enns." Volunteer help came from Mennonites in Winkler, Lowe Farm and Steinbach to help build the Brandt's new home in the summer of 1958.
