In the art. the photo is described as: A weeping child without food, clothes or its mothers love and "young children with passionate pleas for help in their eyes." The child is from a foreign country, possibly Hong Kong. (See also 1994-14.157 from Paraguay which is part of this series.)
Group of pre-school children hold their MCC Christmas bundles, smiling. The woman standing with them may be an MCC worker (same woman as in 2001-14.162?). The photo was developed in Bremen, northern Germany. Likely taken in the early 1950s.
