Informal photo taken at his presentation to the MCC annual meeting on the desparate conditions in the Congo resulting from the rebellion. He was a MB senior missionary to the Congo. MCC had assisted the missions re. food, etc
Formal family photo on their `Prayer Reminder Card' which gave their addresses at home & on the mission field. They were from the Carrot River Mennonite Church in Sask. Used in the CM 12-34-6. With John & Olga is their son Benjamin.
Negative also. Photo was folded over. Shows him behind a lecturn holding an open Bible. In 1967-68 he was on staff at SBI during his year on furlough. Perhaps the picture was taken at that time. See CM 15-20-3.
Used in CM 5-13-8 when they had returned from Africa. They had been serving with the Congo Inland Mission since 1953. They were from the Kleinegemeinde Church
Letter with negative attached sent in by Nachtigal for the DVBS held at the East Chiliwack Mennonite Church where she took part. She worked in the Belgian Congo. Her prayer card is also enclosed. See CM 4-13-1; 4-4-18-5; 7-42-9.

Informal photo. Used in the CM 15-28-3. She worked as a nurse of the MB Cf. The photo may have been taken while she was home on furlough taking specialized training in nursing. On the back, her name is spelled "Sarah."
