A notebook in German script that served as both an account book and a record of deaths.  Inside the notebook is a partially-completed birth certificate for a Rebecca König born in Fairfield County, Ohio, and an 1886 letter discussing financial matters.

These assorted family papers are divided into two series:

(1) Miscellaneous family documents, 1807-1944

(2) Photographs, 1958, undated

Six letters in German script from members of the Brubacher family residing in Ontario and Pennsylvania.  Correspondents include Johannes and Susanna Brubacher, Jacob and Maria Brubacher, and Heinrich Brubacher.  ALl of the letters have either been transcribed or translated.  Among the letters are also several photocopied German hymns with translations into English.

Miscellaneous materials collected by genealogist Eunice Deter to document the history of the Deter and Longanecker families.  Materials include photographs, correspondence, maps, financial and land records, wills and obituaries, biographies, diaries, and genealogy notes.  Other materials include various editions of the Longanecker family history written by Deter.

The earliest records in this fonds date back to 1843 when a church membership register was begun in the Bergthal Colony in South Russia - a book which was brought along with the emigrants in 1874. The membership records in this fonds continue to cover the period in Canada from 1874 onward. After 1930 the records at the Mennonite Heritage Centre dealing with the Chortitzer Mennonite church are extremely sparse. The collection comprises of some preaching schedules and annual report books. The bulk of the materials are from the Waidenamt organization.

The most unique and important document is the letter of invitation (Privilegium) signed by John Lowe of Canada's department of agriculture in July 1873.

This fond consists of three series :

-2) Waisenamt twelve sub series
-3) Chortitzer Mennonite Conference annual report books

The collection consists of some older correspondence dated 1829 and later, as well as some transcriptions and family history documents.

A small set of personal papers belonging to father and son Mennonite bishops in Virginia.  Materials include a photocopy and transcript of Peter Burkholder's will (1813), a photocopy and English translation of a letter from Christian and Anna Kauffman (1842), a letter from Peter Johns and Johannes (John) Greider, with English translation (1846), two letters from John M. Brenneman to Martin Burkholder (1853, 1858), and three letters from Daniel Brenneman to Martin Burkholder (1859).  The collection also includes a photocopy of a notebook containing information about the death of Martin Burkholder, but the copy is of poor quality.

These papers primarily document the life and work of Silas Hertzler, but includes some material pertinent to his wife, Anna Weaver Hertzler.  The papers are divided into seven series:

The collection consists of the will and testament of Jacob Oberholtzer.

Quite a few items revolving around Peter Wedel, Alexanderwohl elder. A Heinrich Balzer poem dedicated to him. An 1815 letter to him from Wilhelm Lange. His diary from 1834?-1838. Some poems and writing exercises possibly by him.

Also, Wilhelm Lange's ordination sermon. And sermons by Peter Unrau.

Personal papers of an (old) Mennonite conscientious objector and founder of the Mennonite Young People's Conference who went on to teach history on the faculty of Goshen College and Western Reserve University. Materials are divided into five series:

A small set of personal and pastoral papers created by a pastor and bishop associated with the Oak Grove Mennonite Church (Smithville, Ohio), an (old) Mennonite congregation in Wayne County, Ohio. Materials include information on the Young People's Conference, a record book of the Ohio Mennonite Relief Commission, materials pertaining to Orrville Mennonite Church (Orrville, Ohio) and Walnut Creek Mennonite Church (Holmes County, Ohio), correspondence with Bishop O. N. (Otis Nathan) Johns, and miscellaneous materials.

The collection consists of an original leather-bound notebook belonging to Joseph Bowman, documenting among other things some of his travels. Along with this notebook is a typed transcript of these travel reports dated 1975.

A hodgepodge of materials pertaining to the family of Jacob Christophel, a Mennonite immigrant to Elkhart County Indiana in 1818 and one of the founders of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.
