Barn built by Cornelius Stoesz on the East Reserve in 1877

This photo is of the barn built by Minister Cornelius Stoesz (1836-1900) who moved from Bergthal Russia to the Manitoba Mennonite East Reserve in 1874. The barn was built in 1877. Colour photo taken by Henry Blatz in mid 1980s. Hanover fire department used building for fire practice late 1980s or early 1990s.

This photo is of a farm yard and barn. Seated on the attached fence and in the doorways are five people. A pig, chickens and a turkey are in the foreground. The barn has an enclosed lean to on each side.

This is a photo taken on the Jacob Reimer Farm in the Coaldale area of Alberta. Heidi Koop and a boy are in the mid ground playing with kittens while two men, Peter Koop(left) and Jacob Reimer(?) are standing in the foreground. One is wearing overalls. A hip roof barn stands in the background.

This is a photo of the Harry Brown Barn, built 1881. The building was demolished in 1974. This image shows the barn and a truck on the right hand side. The Barn was located on Post Road, north west of Gretna, Manitoba. (see RRV Echo, Souvenir Supplement, Nov. 25, 1970)
