On her left hand is a wedding band and her watch is visible under the cuff of her dress. The other child standing on the chair is a girl. She is wearing a dark dress that reaches above the knees and is tied just below the waist. She is holding a doll that looks to have a porcelain head and a soft body. Mother and daughter have dark hair.

This photograph is of two young unnamed boys, possibly brothers. The elder one is standing and the younger one is seated. Both are wearing knee breeches and a sailor top with large collar, white stockings and black shoes. The younger boy is seated on a well-upholstered chair.
