This is a photo two workers investigating the destruction of hospital equipment by a fire which caused over $224,000 damage to a church warehouse in Zaire. The warehouse receives and distributes aid, sent by Mennonite Central Committee and other protestant groups, to outlying areas.

Names of the children listed as [Gardona Zange] 14 months, [Yajica Peeotie] 21 months, [Pero Mikolac] 14 months. Reimer writes "these children looked like plucked sparrows when I saw them last December."
