Three children of Henry Ketler b. 1923 and Doris Penner are sitting on a bench. L- R: Marjorie, James, Joanelle. A daughter Patricia was not born yet. Marjorie is wearing a light coloured dress, James black pants, striped sweater and white collar, Joanelle a dress with white dollar and ribbons at the waist. James was born 1951 and later married Ruth Rempel. This is generation 6 of the Heinrich Ketler Ancestry Display.
Two photos, both used in the CM 4-9-7, showing some of the children of migrants in the labor camps near Eloy, Arizona with whom the General Conference Chuch missionaries were holding daily classes. The missionaries working here were: Rev. and Mrs. Glen Habegger, Rebecca Nickel and Elsie Heppner, author of the accompanying article. See also 2010-14.398.
This photo shows Monkman and a group of "Winklerites" - construction men - looking on Mennonite Pioneer Mission children's camp at Loon Straits. "On the right is Margaret Harder (right) and Marian Enns." Volunteer help came from Mennonites in Winkler, Lowe Farm and Steinbach to help build the Brandt's new home in the summer of 1958.
