This photograph is of a group of young adults. It is damaged and three people cannot be identified. Four young women are wearing light coloured dresses and the men are in suits. In the photograph are:- standing toward the rear, Peter Janzen in a light coloured suit, seated in front of him is Anna Janzen, in front of her, resting on his elbow is Johann Janzen. To Anna Janzen's left is Abram Janzen, then Jacob Schultz, to his left is Aganetha Priess. Seated slightly below Aganetha Priess is Johann Janz with Margareta Janzen to his left

This is a head and shoulder sepia portrait of Johann Janzen and his wife Katharina Janzen before they emigrated to Canada in 1928. Johann is wearing what could be an alternative service uniform. Katharina is wearing a long-sleeved white blouse featuring a multi-buttoned long cuff.
