Sunday School - (church at the corner of Manitoba and McKenzie)

This photo is of Sunday School children and adults at the Mennonite Brethren church at the corner of Manitoba and MacKenzie, Winnipeg. 2 copies. This building was known as the German Baptist Mission Chapel which was rented by the Mennonite Brethren group. Second row from back, 4th from left is Anna Thiessen and 7th from left is William Bestvater.

This photo is of a baptism outdoors performed by Rev. Jacob Thiessen, in Herbert, Saskatchewan with a large group of onlookers on the river bank. Anna Thiessen, daughter of Jacob W. Thiessen, standing far right. A log fastened to a pole in the river bed leads baptism candidates into the river where Rev. Thiessen will baptize them by immersion.
