Fred E. Swartzendruber Near East Relief Scrapbook 1920-1921
One scrapbook of photographs documenting Fred E. Swatzendruber's travel and work with Near East Relief from 1920 to 1921. Swartzendruber's assignment was at an orphanage in Beirut, Syria, sheltering children whose parents were killed in the Armenian genocide. Contains photographs documenting the travel by ship and locations around the region including trips to the Holy Land and other pilgrimage sites.

Two scrapbooks documenting the education and social life of a young Mennonite woman from Elkhart who attended Elkhart High School and the La Junta Mennonite School of Nursing in the 1920s. The La Junta scrapbook also includes photographs after her graduation depicting travels and friends at home.

Scrapbooks containing snapshots, unit histories, descriptions of work and unit life, and other information about various Voluntary Service (V.S.) units sponsored by the Mennonite Board of Missions. The scrapbooks appear to have been used in orienting new unit volunteers and in introducing unit work to visitors.
