At a wake in Nicaragua

This is a photo of women, surrounded by floral wreaths and bouquets, at the wake service for a Christian Nicaraguan woman killed by U. S.-supported contras. The Baptist resolution on Reagan's request for $100 million for the contras reads: "Any amount of these funds would only serve to increase the number of deaths and to intensify the pain of our suffering people".

House damaged by a counter-revolutionary guerrilla attack in Nicaragua

This is a photo of residents of Platanares surveying damage to a house caused by a December counterrevolutionary guerrilla attack on the town, which left eight dead, four wounded and two kidnapped. MCC provided roofing materials to families in this town who had been displaced by war against Nicaragua.
