Interior of Menno Simons Church

The interior of the church in Witmarsum, Netherlands. Wooden chairs are set up facing the pulpit which has a large X with a p across the front. A table with two candles on it is also in front of the pulpit. The pulpit is elevated and has steps on both sides of it. There are two large black beams on the ceiling.

Menno Simons Kerkje (Menno Simons Church) at Witmarsum

This postcard acquired in 1950 shows the former meetinghouse in Witmarsum, Dutch province of Friesland, where Menno was supposed to have preached his first sermons after leaving the Catholic Church in 1536.
