Archivist's note
According to GRANDMA, Heinrich Bahnmann (1862-1906) had emigrated from Russia in 1903 and settled in Saskatchewan in 1904, had died several years before this postcard was written. However, his widow (Katharina Bahnmann (nee Wiens) (1859-1936) would have received the postcard and is the one addressed as a niece. -- ahr, 23 June 2017.
Katharina Bahnman b. 1859 (recipient of the photo/postcard) is the daughter of Nicolai J. Wiens and Margaretha Janzen (1827-1879). The postcard mentions a sister (Mrs. Schroeder), who must then be Anna (b. 1850) who died in 1910 (which makes sense because this postcard written in 1909 says she is quite ill).
The writer of the postcard (Aganetha Neufeld nee Janzen) must be a sister (half-sister) to Margaretha (Janzen) Wiens (1827-1879), the mother of Mrs. Bahnmann, recipient of the postcard/photo.
