Calf

This photo is of a black and white calf standing in a flat field. A row of trees is in the background. Transmission towers can also be seen in the background. The roof of a building can be seen on the far right. A small crop is grain is behind the calf.

Hans Epp residence

This is a photo of all that is left of the Hans Epp residence. The barn is no more. The well, which was formerly an artesian well, today requires a pump. [HR 12]

House of Charlotte Wiebe's family

This photo is of the house of Charlotte Wiebe's family. The house is in poor condition. The roof is damaged and tiles are missing on one corner of it. It is a large house that has little paint left on it. There are low bushes in front of the house and a large tree on the right side of it.

Fragmented correspondence and reports concerning Horst's Mennonite Central Committee service in Poland from 1948-1950.  Includes a thank you letter from the people of the town of Bullingen (Büllingen), correspondence regarding a Polish Mennonite pastor seeking assistance in the early 1950s and materials about MCC relief unit reunions.  Also present are two family photographs and several Christmas letters written in the 1960s, when J. Alton Horst pastored in Illinois.

Jacob G. Ewert in bed

Jacob G. Ewert is paralyzed, lying in bed, in Poland. He spent 26 years in bed continuing his studies and became quite efficient in European languages as well as Hebrew, Latin and Greek. He taught students of Tabor College who came to him for instructions.
