Administrative history

The People's Mennonite Mission was founded in 1959 in Fort St. John, B.C. It was called the Fort St. John Mennonite Mission but changed its name to the "People's Mission: a few years later. It left the conference in 1966 over theological issues.

In 2008 the People's Mission merged with the Fort St. John Evangelical Free Church, a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada, to form the Fort St. John Evangelical Mission Church.
