History
In the early 1950s there was a large influx of Mennonite immigrants to the Essex County area, both from Russia and other parts of European and Asian Soviet Union, and South America. The meeting house in Leamington was not able to accommodate the increased number of worshippers. So in 1954 another meeting house was built north of Leamington close to the high school. This meeting house was expanded with the addition of an educational wing in 1961. The people meeting here were still members of the Leamington United Mennonite Church until 1980 when it became an independent congregation.
