A large young people's group meeting in the city of Nobeoka, Japan, under the leadership of missionaries George Janzen (in centre of photo) called themselves the Immanuel Group after the motto "God is with us (Immanuel)." The large mural behind the group (seen in part) was painted by one of the young people, most of whom regularly attend Mennonite services in Nobeoka.
