Scope and content

This four-by-15-foot model of a Russian Mennonite village offers a bird's eye view of Mennonite life in Russia before the 1917 revolution. It took 77-year-old Jacob Janzen of St. Catharines 3 and a half months to build the display assembled at Conrad Grebel College (Kitchener, Ont.) for an Ontario Mennonite Histroical Society meeting. The village is complete with a horse-driven threshing machine in the foreground.
