Biographical history
John Enns was born in Ohrloff, Molotschna, Ukaine. In 1924 his family immigrated to Canada and came to Waterloo, Ontario. In 1926 the family homesteaded in what became Reesor, Ontario. From 1936-1966 he taught school in Reesor, with a brief interlude as an Alternative Service worker (Montreal River, 1942-1943; Chatham and Exeter, agricultural work, 1943; Mile 10 camp at Petawawa Forest Experiment Station, 1943-1944). From 1966-1971, he taught in Kapuskasing.
