Archivist's note

The original exhibit was on display in annex of the Winnipeg store for several days in 1929. The model included the structure of the power plant, the dam and water. The entire exhibit included not only the miniature of the Winnipeg River and the power plants, but also a display of the practical uses of electricity which would be of value to the people of the city of Winnipeg and the province of Manitoba. (refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, lights, sewing machines, washing machines and more). See Winnipeg Tribune, 13 Feb. 1929, p. 9).
