Founded in 1944 by the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches as the first Mennonite Bible college in Canada. Concord College was established in 1992 as a successor to MBBC. In 2000, Concord College became a part of the Canadian Mennonite University and moved to the CMU campus on Shaftesbury Boulevard.
Mennonite Brethren Bible College was located at the corner of Kelvin Street (later Henderson Highway) and Talbot Avenue in Winnipeg. The brick school building, purchased in 1944 by the Mennonite Brethren conference, was built in 1919 and known as the Anna Gibson School. It had six classrooms and measured 134 feet long and 69 feet wide. While the building has since been removed, a commemorative marker remains on the site.
