Caption by Anne Eby Millar: "Oct 31st was the date that Gordon met the Snetsinger girls. He was in Victoria Hospital, London and they came to the hospital to visit the soldiers. Murray was a schoolteacher and Willa was living at home with her mother and brother. These girls liked to dress in military style clothes and title themselves 'major.'"
