History
Daniel Jacob Loewen was born in Franzfeld, Yazykovo, South Russia in 1872 and married Anna Loewen (Kaethler) in 1898. They lived in the Ufa Colony from 1909-1918, when they fled to Siberia. They returned to Dawlekanowo in 1921 and immigrated to Canada in 1924. He was an ordained minister (Aeltester). He died in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1951.
