Born 24 Dec 1901, Hillsboro, Kansas. Parents: Peter Suderman and Maria Penner. Graduated from Bethel Academy. Taught elementary school in Hillsboro area for several years. Graduated from Bethel College. Ordained at Bruderthal Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, 25 Nov 1925. Married Mabel Wedel 11 Aug 1926.

Missionary at Oraibi, Arizona, 1930-1947.

Interim pastor at First Mennonite Church, Berne, Indiana, before 1947.

Pastor after 1947 at Gospel Mennonite Church, Mountain Lake, Minnesota; St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora, Ohio; Glendale Mennonite Church, Lynden, Washington.

Retired in 1967 to Winona Lake, Indiana. Active in taping Bible conferences there. Had some kind of radio ministry for Gulfport, Mississippi, for a few months. Prepared the 1972 edition of <em>Lomatuawh-Tatawi</em> or <em>Hopi Gospel Songs</em>.

Died 8 Dec 1979 at Winona Lake. Children: John Mark and Edith Elsie.

Box 1 is mostly materials related to his Hopi gospel song compilation. Includes several audio tape reels.

Box 2 has more audio tape reels, more Hopi hymnal related material, photocopy of an autobiography by Mabel Suderman, a few photos, a few of what look like sermon outlines.
