Administrative history

The congregation began services in 1925, and formally organized in 1927. Klaas Janzen, Johann Thiessen and J. Riesen are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through immigration from the Soviet Union and the United States. It was affliated with the Conference of Mennonites in Canada from 1934-1965. The congregation dissolved in 1965 as the local population moved away.

Archival history

The old Gemeinde-bucb (Church record book) was found in a farm house, the former residence of one of the sons of Rev. Johann
J. Friesen. In 1984 it was in a vault with the old records of the Drake congregation (see Mennonite Historian, March 1984, p. 2). It was at the Heritage Centre in 1987.
