A group of young children stand at the entrance to a building ("Eingang" is written above the door) with two women. The one at left may be an MCC worker, the same woman as in 2001-14.163. The woman at right may be a local helper. Landscape seen at right is bleak, so taken in late 1940s or early 1950s. Part of MCC's Child Feeding Program or Christmas bundle distribution as in following photos. At Wentdorf?

The missionaries who worked with migrant families near Eloy, Arizona

The missionaries who worked with migrant families in the labour camps near Eloy, Arizona. They sit on the steps of a house and are likely the same people named in the photo caption in the CM 4-9-7, namely, Rev. and Mrs. Glen Habegger (and their young boy), Rebecca Nickel and Elsie Heppner. A second photo (13x9), dated Jan 21, 1956, shows another group of children from the migrant camps, some of whom were likely African American children. Both photos were not used in the CM.

Negative also. Used in CM 7-12-5 by the GCMC, B. of Christian Service to promote mission work. This series continues to 1998-14.266. In the art. the photo is described as: A weeping child without food, clothes or its mothers love and "young children with passionate pleas for help in their eyes." The child is from a foreign country, possibly Hong Kong. (See also 1994-14.157 from Paraguay which is part of this series.)
