Gerhard E. Kornelson 1857 and Anna Doerksen 1854 descendants

Three generations of Gerhard Kornelson and Elisabeth (Giesbrecht) family. Gerhard E. Kornelson was born in 1857 in Lichtenau, Ruusia. G.e. Kornelson did a lot of surveying. His 2nd. wife was the widow Martin G.Barkman nee Anna Doerksen b. 1854, died 10 Oct 1937. Gerhard's father was Gerhard S. Kornelson, who came to Canada in 1874 and died 1910.

Gen 2 G. G. Kornelson, 1878, Watkins Dealer and teacher/ Jacob Kornelson: & William Kornelson all sons of G. E.. Kornelson. G. G. married Anna Dyck, b. 23 Nov. 1882. Jacob Kornelson was born 8 Jul 1863 d. 14 Jul 1942 m. Anne Peters b. 1863 d. Nov 10 1907. Jacob was a teacher and principal. Wilhelm Kornelson did not marry. He was a teacher.

Gen 3. Bill Kornelson and Mary Kornelson, 1911 He was on school Board for over 20 years. Mary was a teacher.

This photograph shows men and women standing outside with a few children and young men seated in the grass. These are probably all residents of Steinbach, Manitoba, and perhaps all members of the Kornelsen family. Seated in the centre are G.E. Kornelsen and his wife Anna (nee Doerksen) 1854-1937. Identity of a few others: Back row: l-r, 1st man, Jacob G. Kornelsen, long time high school teacher in Steinbach; smaller man unknown, next, G.G. Kornelsen, Watkins dealer in Steinbach; tall man, 3rd from right, Heinrich Kreutzer - another source identified this tall, bearded man as Diedrich Unger; last man in back row is believed to be John G. Kornelsen.
