The records within the series include program and project records, records of the MCC Peace Section and Ottawa Office, publications and research material, correspondence, meeting minutes, and financial and administrative records of the program. Some of the Peace and Social Concerns Program initiatives documented in this series include Project Ploughshares, Project Peacemakers, Peace Sunday, the Congregational Peace Education Program, Peace Research Institute, Christian Peacemaker Teams, One Thousand Faces Peace Project, Church and Corporate Responsibility Task Force, the Jubilee Initiative, the Task Force on Women, Tax Task Force, Socio-Economic Task Force, Committee on Justice and Liberty, early Offender Ministries program, and related provincial MCC programs.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Ottawa Office, dating from 1975 to 2011. The records within the series include Ottawa Office Notebooks, minutes of the Kanadier Mennonite Colonization Committee and the Ottawa Office Advisory Committee, reports and publications, research and advocacy materials, international records, correspondence with government agencies, immigration records, and policy development records. Also included are “specific requests” from MCC programs and other agencies and records relating to the Kanadier Mennonite Colonization Committee, Kanadier Concerns, Overseas Services, immigration and refugees, Native Concerns, abortion, capital punishment, disarmament, Women’s Concerns, Israel/Palestine, and other topics.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s National Program Department, dating from 1982 to 2007. The records in this series were created by the department for primarily administrative purposes. The records within the series include documentation about MCC projects and initiatives including Mennonite Disaster Service, Mennonite Historical Society, Japanese Canadian Scholarship, Youth and Young Adult Initiative, and a Poverty Research Project. Also included are meeting minutes, correspondence with governmental agencies and other MCC entities, research material and publications, and administrative and financial records relating to the department, and records relating to specific programs including the Eastern Canada Program, Ottawa Office, and Restorative Justice Program.

The records within the series include Provincial MCC records, program and project records (Montreal House of Friendship, Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, Phanat Nikhom Program, Ethiopean Relocation Program), records of the Interchurch Committee for Refugees, meeting minutes, immigration inquiries, sponsorship records, international records, and consultation records.

The records within the series include program and project records, reports, publications and research material, records of programming within the provincial MCCs, records of Mennonite Mental Health Services and the Canadian Mental Health Association, committee and meeting minutes, and educational resources.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Mental Health Program, dating from 1983 to 1992. The records within the series include records of the Mental Health Advisory Committee, program records, records relating to associated mental health associations and assemblies, publications and research material, records of programming within the provincial MCCs, committee and meeting minutes, and educational resources.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Low German Programs, dating from 1982 to 2006. The records within the series consist of program and project records including meeting minutes, activity and administrative reports, publications, and research material. This series also includes records relating to programming in Mexico, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, and Canadian provinces, Die Mennonitische Post records, and records of the Kanadier Mennonite Colonization Committee.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Indigenous Neighbours Program, formerly called the Native Concerns Program and Aboriginal Neighbours Program, dated 1974 to 2007. Most of the records document the various projects, programs, and other activities of the program and other projects that addressed social, economic, cultural, and spiritual concerns of Indigenous communities in Canada; these include the Native Gardening Program, Project North, Native Name Project, Bull Calf Project, friendship centres, and educational programs. Activities of the program were often undertaken collaboratively between MCC Canada and the Provincial MCCs. Records in this series also include research materials on various social justice and economic issues, Indigenous community profiles, correspondence, reports, program reviews, publications and research materials, conference records, committee and task force records (such as the Interchurch Task Force on Northern Flooding, Native Concerns Advisory Committee, Committee on Racism, Human Rights & Native Peoples Concerns, and the Committee for Justice & Liberty), meeting minutes, art and poems, and administrative and financial records.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Handicap Concerns program. The records within the series include the records of the Handicap Concerns Committee, program and project records, reports, publications and research material, records of programming within the provincial MCCs, and educational resources.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Economic Justice program (formerly titled Employment Concerns), dating from 1984 to 1997. The records within the series include program reviews, workshop records, financial records, employment project records, Edmonton Recycling Program records, Alberta Recycling System Society records, provincial MCC records, and social policy reviews.
