Two photos & neg. for each, #4 (where the 3 women are smiling) was used in CM 4-32-8. In neg. #3 (not used) their expressions are serious as they work. Secretaries Lois Warkentin & Tina Block (seated) do dictation work in the GCMC office. Wihelmina Kuyf stands behind them. Her work was administration in the missions office. See 1998-14.10 for another photo of her.
Two photos, probably taken by Frank H. Epp on his brief stay in Khon Khaen, Thailand during his tour of Southeast Asia. In one photo Leonard Siemens, head of the Colombo Plan, stands beside a huge statue, possibly in front of a temple. The 2nd photo is of an inside corridor which has interesting architectural details on either side. Siemens was on leave from the University of Manitoba setting up an agricultural university in Khon Khean, N. Thailand. See article in CM 14-45-7.
Used in CM 4-7-6. Sign at the entrance of the University of Colorado Medical Center where over 200 Mennonite CO's worked. Some of the buildings are visible in the bkgd., also automobiles from the time.
Used in CM 15-2-7; 2nd copy, 9x12.5. Indian boys sit on top of the India Industrial Mission jeep. This boys technical school was sponsored by the United Missionary Church in cooperation with MCC. John Blosser stands at right.
