Used in CM 11-51-1 when he died suddenly. He was 67 years of age; worked as director & secretary-treasurer of C. A. DeFehr & Sons Ltd. He was the son-in-law of Mr. & Mrs. DeFehr.

Don and Dolores Harder look at a map of Kenya. Don is pointing out where the station is located and where they will be living in Kenya. Don had agreed to take a position in Kenya at the Plant Breeding Station in Njoro, Kenya as a Plant Pathologist for a two year assignment sponsored by CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) and the University of Manitoba.

Used in the CM 6-37-3. Caption reads: "Father-Son Display. The art work of John F. Klassen and son, Randolph Klassen, Winnipeg, Man., was recently featured in an unusual father-son display at the YWCA. They displayed approximately 30 water color paintings for two weeks. Mr. Klassen, who is president of the Winnipeg Sketch Club and a member of the Manitoba Society of Artists, is a high school teacher in the city. Randolph is completing seminary training at North Bank, Chicago, in preparation for the ministry in the Covenant church."
