Die Mennonitische Religionsschule in Winnipeg

This photograph shows a group of women and 3 men standing on steps in front of the Zion Church, corner of Alexander Avenue and Ellen Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Schoenwieser Mennonite Church / First Mennonite Church). The women are probably all from the Eben Ezer Maedchenheim, Winnipeg. It is the Bible School Class of 1934-35.

Row 1: l-r, Aelt . Daniel Loewen, - Braun, with lace collar, Agnes Willms, Aelt. Johann H. Enns ;
Row 5: Liese Klassen, Maria (Mika) Klassen (Mrs. Franz Dyck);
Row 8: last row, Edward Klassen, (son of Aelt. Johann P. Klassen).
Other persons on photograph are Erna Martens (Mrs. Plenert) (1910-1972) and Margaret Derksen (1901-1983)

See W-4,5,23, & S-10. the sisters are sitting down, Helen a little higher than Susanna. Both are wearing dark dresses. Susanna has small buttons from the neck to bust. Helena has a white bow and large buttons. Helena is wearing glasses.

Jakob W.S. Falk family

Jakob W. S. Falk and wife Elizabeth are sitting on chairs in front of their house. Their 10 childen (girls) are standing beside and behind them All the girls are wearing light coloured dresses. In the background is a house . Probably taken in Paraguay.

John and Maria Friesen

Portrait of Mr. and Mrs. John Friesen. He was born Nov. 15, 1888 in Lichtfelde, Russia., the son of Martin Friesen and ? Enns. Mrs. Friesen, nee Maria Janzen b. 5 May 1893, Rosenort, Russia d. 24 June 1967. They were married 6 June 1915 . They moved to Niverville in 1924, other places in Manitoba and then 1926 back to Niverville . He was a farmer. Later they lived in Chilliwack and Clearbrook, B.C. They had a son John b. 1918 Mr. Friesen is wearing a dark suit, white shirt and a tie. Mrs. Friesen a dark dress with a large button type brooch on both sides of her bodice, and glasses
