Formal photo. Used in the CM 3-31-4 with art. about his 2 book on Mennonite Martyrs (Vol. 1, 1950; Vol.2, 1954). He was the former pastor of the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church, living in retirement in Clearbrook.

Negative also. The head & shoulders part of the photo was used in the CM 5-7-1. He was exec. sec. of the MB B. of Foreign Miss. The photo is identified as 1956, but was used in 1957.

Used in CM 12-11-4 when he received the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship at the U. of Man. The scholarship gave a stipend of $1,800.00 plus tuition costs. His plans were to use it for graduate studies at an American university.

A series of mat negatives, produced on cardboard

A series of mat negatives, produced on carboard and labelled "special relief cuts" (ie more like a woodcut). Numbers 2 to 6 were used in the 1956 vol. of the CM as follows: #2 "Child of Neglect" in 4-45-2; #3 "Child of flight" in 4-46-2; #4 "Child of despair" in 4-47-2; #5 "Child of want' in 4-48-2; "Child of hope" in 49-4-2. For 1 of the "cuts" which shows a young boy, perhaps in an Asian country, there is no label or indication of when it was used.
