Wedding snap of Neta Warkentin and Gerhard Neufeld of Grunthal, Manitoba. The bride is wearing a floor-length white dress and short veil carrying roses. The groom is wearing a dark suit, white shirt and tie and boutonniere with ribbon. The bridesmaid is wearing a floor-length dress and headpiece, the groomsman a suit, white shirt and patterned tie, carnation. The photo is taken outside in front of the house, decorated car in background.

Peter S. Rempel (1855) family

Peter S. Rempel b. 18 Jan 1855 is seated on a chair with an arm resting on a small table. Olga (nee Wall) b. 1859 is sitting on a lower padded chair and their 2 sons are standing between them. Peter age 10 stands at his father's left, and John, age 6, at his mother's right. It is said that they met and married in Ontario in 1874 on their way to Manitoba. They settled near Grunthal where these two boys were born. Another boy, George, was born around 1900. He died of the flu during the epidemic of 1918. These pioneers made quite a contribution to the growth of the province at a time when things were not easy. There were three older girls; Mrs. Conrnelius Falk (Anna), Mrs. Peter F. Martens (Margaret), and Mrs. Ben B. Bergen Elizabeth).
