This is the front view of the School for the Deaf and Mute in Tiege. Completed in 1890, its capacity was 40 pupils. The pupils boarded in the school. [HR 126]

School for the Deaf and Mute

This is a photo of the mute and deaf school, rear from above. At this school they offered a nine-year course. The teachers were remarkably successful in their work. The children learned to speak, to read and write and acquired a good general education. The building still exists but the fence and trees have vanished. The building itself serves the local party-organization as headquarters. [HR 126]
