Speakers at the Mission Festival in connection with the first conference of the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference (formerly Rudnerweidner). They are: John Froese, pastor at Altona EMMC Church; Dave Friesen, missionary at La Ronge, Sask.; H. G. Rempel, pastor of the Steinbach Emmanuel Church; John Friesen of Saskatoon, moderator of the conference; Ben Sawatsky, pastor of Gospel Mennoninte Church, Winnipeg; Jake Wiebe, pastor of the Emmanuel Gospel Church, Lowe Farm. G. J. Reimer opens the Winkler Bible School

Used in the CM 12-40-11. G. J. Reimer, one of the first teachers of the school cut the ribbon to officially open the school. The accompanying article in "The Canadian Mennonite" gives his name correctly as G. J. Reimer. The caption under the photograph erroneously identifies him as "G. J. Rempel."
