Walter and Menno Neufeld practicing
Walter Neufeld, violinist and Menno Neufeld, pianist practicing in a home in Yarrow, BC. These two brothers were hard working musicians who encouraged many Mennonite families to give their children a music education with the violin or the piano. Walter went on to form an orchestra which eventually won raves from John Avison, later conductor of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra. Menno worked with the University of Toronto Music department's curriculum and many of his students majored in piano and graduated from the Conservatory Music of Toronto.
