Photographs and slides primarily depict Bennett's life in Akron as an MCC worker, as well as his relief work in France and Spain.
Personal papers documenting the early life and education of an (old) Mennonite pastor's wife. Materials include a diary, correspondence, essays apparently written while studying at the Elkhart Institute and Goshen College, and miscellaneous materials. The essays represent the richest source of information in this collection, as they provide insight into Johns's thoughts on a variety of subjects -- motherhood, marriage, temperance, modest dress, mission and evangelistic work, prayer, suffering, and so forth. Some of the essays are brief fiction pieces, and researchers will also find original poetry among the essays.
A set of family papers documenting the lives of Charles L. Shank, his first wife, Crissie Yoder Shank, his second wife, Lydia F. Shenk Shank, the Shank children, Lydia Shank's sister and brother-in-law (Lillie and James Norman Kaufman), and other assorted Shank family members. Materials include incoming correspondence documenting Mennonite missionary work, photographs, school materials, circle letters circulated among the Shank's children, articles and other writings of Lydia Shank, collected prayers of international Christian women in the 1950s, a number of sound recordings of funerals and memorial services, and other miscellaneous family materials.

Materials include 19th century correspondence, anecdotes, a list of members of the Amish Church at Lower Deer Creek, a list of clergy and congregations in the Western Amish-Mennonite Conference (later the Iowa-Nebraska Mennonite Conference), a program from the dedication of the Deer Creek marker, and other miscellaneous materials.

This small set of personal papers includes a diary documenting Bauman's service at the Youngstown Mission in Ohio from 1912 to 1913. Also included among the papers are manuscripts of her essays and devotional writings, miscellaneous correspondence and family papers.
Mast served as minister of the Walnut Creek Amish Mennonite Church (Holmes County, Ohio) from 1885 to 1898. This collection contains a photocopy and English translation of his record book, which records baptisms, marriages, communion services, church meetings, excommunications, and lists of young people coming for church instruction between 1885 and 1898.
A small collection of materials pertaining to Miller's experiences as a conscientious objector in World War I. Materials include transcribed outgoing correspondence, written from Camp Taylor, KY, and France from 1918 to 1919, collected articles on the treatment of conscientious objectors in World War I, and a small set of Guy F. Herschberger's research notes and correspondence regarding the Illinois and Kansas State Councils of Defense.
An instrumental humanitarian in the Mennonite Church, Alvin J. Miller engaged in relief work in France, Crimea, and Constantinople with the American Friends Service Committee and the Red Cross. He later served in the American Relief Association and also with the American Mennonite Relief in Russia (1921-1926). Miller also assisted with the colonization committees helping to place Russian Mennonite refugees onto Canadian farms and seeling second mortgage Farm Lien Bonds to American Amish and Mennonite buyers to raise money for this venture (1927-1930). His personal collection includes correspondence, documents and reports documenting these experiences.

This small set of personal papers from a pastor affiliated with the (old) Mennonite Church consists primarily of sermons, some of which were delivered at the Mennonite Home Mission in Chicago, Ill., where Yoder served after his ordination in 1939. Other sermons were written for congregational minsitry at the two churches he served: Congerville Mennonite Church (Congerville, Ill.) and Pleasant Oaks Mennonite Church (Middlebury, Ind.) The papers also include information about the history of the Pleasant Oaks congregation in the early 1960s, when it sold its church building. This collection also includes a number of family photographs and a handful of photographs from the Mennonite Home Mission, as well as two audiotapes of Yoder delivering sermons. Photographs mostly date from 1870 through 1930.
