The papers include significant amounts of correspondence and family photos, school materials, and–more unusual–several folders of recipes. A wide variety of other documents is included. Many of the materials relate to extended family members—parents, grandparents, siblings, children, grandchildren—which accounts for the wide date range of 1874-1968. A note of clarification: some of the “David Thiesen” items come from a David Thiesen (1868-1929) who was an uncle of David H. Thiesen. The older David Thiesen never married.
