This photo shows the baptism service of the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, July 10, 1949. On the shore of Birds Hill gravel pit, there is a large group of people encircling the baptismal candidates, some dressed in white. This was the day that Mariechen Koop and her daughter Edith were baptised by the minster, Uncle A. Heinrich Toews.
